Bust Magazine Spring Craftacular and Food Fair - May 4, 2013 at Dumbo, Brooklyn

The Bust Magazine 2013 Spring Craftacular is happening this Saturday, May 4 2013 in Dumbo, Brooklyn.  The event is free admissions and the first 300 visitors will receive a Bust tote bag with some nice crafty indie swag!

In addition to indie arts and crafts, this year's event will also incude a food fair with some of the tastiest local food vendors, such as Mamu Thai Noodles, Snap Truck Hot Dogs, Red Jacket Orchards, vegan ice cream by the Alchemy Creamery, and the lovely ladies of The Jam Stand (did we mention that they make spicy Pearch jam with Siracha sauce!).  We love how there will be plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too - the Cinnamon Snail vegan food truck will be there!

There's always something unique and creative to be found at the Craftacular - artisans crafting everything from jewelry to handmade soap to bespoke hats come from all over the country to participate in this event.  With over 120 vendors of all different creative inclinations, it'll be an event you'll want to spend your whole day in - luckily the event runs from 11am to 6pm for those of us who thrive on this kind of creative energy.  Some of our favorite vendors include talented Dutch jeweler Judith Haas, handcrafted baked goods by Cutie Pie NYC, quirky handmade jewelry by Rachel Pfeffer, and works by children's book illustrator Kristen Balouch of Little Blue Mushroom.

Bust Craftacular events are always extra festive with DJs spinning fine tunes.  In addition to shopping, there will be craft activities for children, terrarium making for grown-ups with Twig Terrarium, embroidery with Miniature Rhino, photobooths with Postography, fabric looming with the Textile Art Center, earring making with Brooklyn Charm, and plenty of outdoor seating for resting.

To get to this event, take the F train to York Street, Brooklyn.  The event will be held by the Pearl Street Plaza and Manhattan Bridge Archway, once you get there, there will be signs pointing you in the right direction.  See you all there!
